Large Chicken Chorus : Poultry In Motility

Review: The Big Chicken Chorus offers top entertainment value, with great songs and medleys such every bit "It's A Good Twenty-four hour period," "Beer Butt Polka" and "How Exercise I Become Out Of This Chicken Outfit" medley. Including the members of 1999 Quartet Champs Fred, whose Clay Hine is managing director of this band of barnyard barbershoppers, the Chorus placed third in Anaheim. Some of the arrangements, such as "I Tin't Give You Annihilation Simply Dearest/L-O-V-E" and the "Jungle Book Medley," are a virtual comic revue, with patter, exaggerated phrasing and lightheaded word play; however, when it's time to become serious - read: sentimental - the Chorus knows how to straighten up and fly, well, right. "Georgia," and "Old Folks At Dwelling" are restrained, stately and graceful.

Masters Of Harmony : Masterpiece

Review: A masterpiece is a work which proves across dubiety the mastery of a certain discipline. This recording is no exception for those of the states who weren't fortunate to be present when The Masters of Harmony, under the direction of Dr. Greg Lyne, won the gold medal and were acclaimed International Chorus Champions in both l990 and l993. Masterpiece begins with a long fascinating medley of nine Jerome Kern songs with an announcer giving brief historical notes in between the excerpts. This is a great recording. Masters Of Harmony : Showtime

Review: All American Barbershop ensemble singing at its finest, this chorus has some sort of compulsion to win aureate medals in competition - 4 golds so far! "Kickoff" has a Hollywood film medley and patriotic medley - both bundled by so-director Dr. Greg Lyne - besides as a line-upward of barbershop "hits" that don't quit. "Allow Me Call You Sweetheart," "Former St Louie," and "Basin St. Blues" (the latter featuring the Masters Of Dixieland Band, who will catechumen the most cantankerous skeptic to the virtues of the saxophone), are only a few. This, and "The Style We Were" are proof that the all-time go along getting better. A walk down retention lane from their winning performances under three directors, Marking Hale, Jeff Oxley and Brett Littlefield, this collection of xiv winners as well includes signature songs from the Masters' four international champion quartets, Nightlife, Revival, Michigan Jake and Gotcha!, all with close ties to the group. Vocal Majority / Mormon Tabernacle Choir : Voices In Harmony bestseller

Review: Ii of the world'south greatest song groups, i traditional and one barbershop, together in a single collection, recorded live in 1986 (don't exist concerned virtually the sound or vocal quality; information technology's super). Three of the songs, "How Great 1000 Art," "Love At Home" and "Nearer My God To Thee," feature both, and the remaining eleven tracks allow each ensemble to showcase their unique talents. As the Tabernacle Choir's director, Dr. Jerold Ottley, explains, the choir sings with "an openness of resonance, and the Majority sings primarily with forward resonance. That is, they sound brighter." Well-nigh of the songs are inspirational (and nearly half are organ accompanied), though "Danny Boy," "Home On The Range," "Windows Of the Globe" and Barry Manilow's "1 Vocalism" circular out the set up. Both groups have a rich and full tone that is at the same time transparent and weightless; ensemble singing at its all-time!
